Why we love it

The classic amphora shape, left unglazed so every fine pit, dark speck and the rope-twist band at the shoulder stays visible. Slim enough for a narrow entry console, it needs nothing more than a few dried alliums or grasses.

Dimensions
Drawn to scale next to a 750 ml wine bottle, 3 × 11.8 in (7.6 × 30 cm).
Width (incl. handles)
8.3 in (21 cm)
Height
13 in (33 cm)
Opening
3.5 in (9 cm)
What’s included
One ceramic vase. Stems and styling props shown in photos are not included.
Care

Dust with a soft, dry cloth, or a barely damp one for marks. The surface is unglazed and can absorb oils, so avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners.

Details

A rope-twist band, left unglazed

A twisted relief band runs around the shoulder, like a cord laid around the neck. With no gloss glaze over it, the band, the fine pits and the dark specks all stay visible, most of all in side light.

Styling

For an entry console or a reading corner

Its slim 21 cm (8.3 in) footprint suits a narrow console beside a lamp, where it can stand empty. On a dark wood side table next to a leather chair, a few dried allium heads pick up its height.
