Why we love it

Nearly as wide as it is tall, this urn sits low and grounded on a stone hearth or a long sideboard. Shallow grooves and a mottled sand finish catch the side light, and the wide mouth lets dried olive branches splay out naturally.

Details

Rope-wrapped handles, a grooved body

Each round handle is closely wound in a tan, rope-look cord. Beneath it, shallow vertical grooves run down a mottled sand-beige body to a raised foot ring.

Styling

On the hearth, or under a landscape

Its low, wide shape suits a stone hearth beside a linen sofa, where it can stand empty. On a rustic sideboard under a framed landscape, a few dry olive branches give it height and movement.
